Dr. Paula Littlejohn is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of British Columbia and the BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute. She earned her Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology from UBC, where she studied the effects of early-life micronutrient deficiencies on the gut microbiome, resistome, and host metabolism. Her current research focuses on the intersection of micronutrient malnutrition, chromatin dynamics, and intestinal wound healing in pediatric inflammatory bowel disease. With a decade of pharmaceutical industry experience, Dr. Littlejohn bridges academic and applied science. She is a recipient of multiple awards, including two Postdoctoral Research Fellowships, and was recently named to the prestigious Falling Walls Female Science Talents Intensive Track for 2024. Jade Aw-Yeong has been a member of 754 Phoenix Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron for over 6 years. Through the program, she completed the Glider and Power Pilot Training Courses, achieving two Transport Canada Pilot Licenses. She continues to support the Air Cadet Gliding Program by providing familiarization flights for other cadets while encouraging them to spark interest in aviation. These flights give the cadets first hand experience behind the flight controls. She is inspired by her officers and past senior cadets who have mentored and motivated her to improve her leadership and aviating skills. Police officer - Delta Police Department
My name is Meghan Wellis, I was born and raised in the lower mainland. Growing up I had a huge passion for sports and had the opportunity to play competitive Soccer, Volleyball and Rugby. From an early age I knew I wanted to be a Firefighter or a Police Officer and took the time to get my Criminology Degree. In 2021 I became a Member of the Delta Police Department! And I am happy to share my experience with others interested in the Policing journey!

I was born and raised in the lower mainland as the child of immigrants. I was called to the BC bar in 2002 and have practiced my whole legal career as Crown Counsel with the BC Prosecution Service. I value helping people through my work in the justice system and enjoy applying the law to bring justice.
